To support our international growth we are looking for a

Data Analyst (m/f)

With a strong background in data analysis, a hands-on attitude combined with attention to detail

Location: Nairobi, Kenya


In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Compiling, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative data for regular and ad-hoc Market Intelligence analyses & reports
  • Handle day to day sales reporting and analysis, performing ad-hoc reporting where required
  • Providing reports on the customer insights gained from the analysis, including commercial implications and recommendations, e.g. sales trends, marketing effectiveness
  • Ability to analyze existing campaigns and improve the existing operations of Marketing
  • Facilitate other operational teams in arranging for data and doing analysis as and when required


Market Intelligence topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Guiding Marketing and Sales team on specific marketing campaigns, using data from existing customers
  • Recommending which marketing and sales actions to take, in order to maximize the long-term value of every customer
  • Segmenting customers into distinct groups to be targeted for campaigns, new products, etcetera
  • Predicting the future behaviors of customers (e.g. referring, purchasing, or payment behavior) using predictive customer behavior modeling techniques and historical data


Your Qualification

  • Relevant professional and academic background, e.g. data science, statistics or related field
  • Experience in sales, marketing, customer development, customer insight, CRM insights, business intelligence, or marketing and sales research, or related field
  • Experience in analysing large data sets using SQL, SAS, MS Office, or similar analytical tools
  • Experience in developing actionable business insights from data analysis
  • Expertise in presenting results from data analysis in a meaningful way
  • Fluency in English and CO specific language
  • Excellent Excel skills; good ability to use other analytics and statistical tools
  • Business acumen and commercial mind-set
  • Passion for customer insights and understanding consumer behaviour
  • Ability to use analytical and problem solving skills in a customer-focused context
